So I know that it is a little late but I wanted to post a news letter anyway so here we go.
This year has been quite the year for us. We started out 2011 with a new arrival Kaizlee Alaina Pierce was born 3 1/2 weeks early on Feb. 9th. Jay was in Denver up until 5 days before she was born. He only came home because I begged him to so he drove home on a Friday and Kaizlee arrived the next Wednesday. Kaizlee has had a rough start from the beginning, she has had many problems with her lungs and has had several bouts with pneumonia, and other medical things we are hopefully going to have a better year in 2012. She has grown so much and has 4 teeth and is going everywhere. She is not quite walking but getting pretty close.
Ashlynn is a bundle of energy. She turned 3 years old in September and has managed to be the first one in our family with a broken bone. In July we were staying with my mom and she fell off the top of the ladder leading to the slide on the swing set. The poor girl went 2 days before she had it casted. She is such a trooper. Ashlynn is so fun but very stubborn. She wants what she wants and that's all there is too it. She is learning the phrase you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.
Braiden is growing so fast. He turned 5 on Feb. 3rd. His big thing this year was entering kindergarten which he absolutely loves. He is still in speech but is getting better everyday. He is starting to read and loves that he has so many friends at school. He has come out of his shell so much since kindergarten has started. He is a fun loving kid who loves to build things. He has so many blocks and kinects that it is fun to see his next project come to life.
Kaylanee is such a girl. She turned 8 the end of this year and was baptized last weekend. It was such an awesome experience. She is in 2nd grade this year and is excelling in school. She is a great helper when she wants to be and loves to clean anything but her room. Kaylanee loves fashion and anything that has to do with clothes, jewelry, or drawing. She is learning the value of a dollar and I don't know for sure if she likes making her own money for things, but she is learning. She is stubborn and very blunt. We are working on that as well. All in all she is a very fun kid.
Me, well this year has been one for the record books for me. Kaizlee my last child was born, I broke my foot, (first bone ever broken) and I learned so much about my self. I continue to babysit 3-4 days a week which I enjoy because it makes me so I don't have to go back to work at Macy's. The blood clots in my legs have been monitored and either dissolved, moved and decreased in size or are still there just smaller. I wasn't able to get my legs done this year but maybe in 2012 our insurance will accept the procedure. I've learned that life without a husband is doable and that I'm stronger then I think I am. All in all a very positive year.
Jay, was gone most of the year. He left the last part of May to Jackson, WY and worked there until the end of October. We are very fortunate to have him home for a few months and hopefully a little longer then that. Since Jay was working in Jackson he stayed part of the summer with my parents and part of the summer with his parents. While at my parents we were lucky enough to stay there for a few weeks.
All in all 2011 was a trying but ok year. We are hoping for a better 2012, but know that trials and tribulations just make us stronger. I'm thankful for what I have learned it 2011. We hope this news letter finds our friends and family happy and healthy.
Love,
The Pierce Family

Making our blog Private
So I've decided as a new years resolution to write on our blog a lot more. But we also decided that it's time to make it private. So if you want to be on the list let me know. I will be doing this within the next few weeks.

Our baby girl!
Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken me so long to post an update, but life has been an adjustment in the past few days. We had our baby girl on February 9, 2011. Her name is Kaizlee Alaina Pierce. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and is 19 inches long. Everything went alright with the delivery. Kaizlee was admitted into NICU for liquid in her lungs, and respiratory problems. Thanks to all for the prayers in her behalf, we greatly appreciate them. She was then let out for observation around midnight on Thursday night. We were very grateful to hear the news that she could go home on Friday, but needed to go back on Saturday for an update checkup. This appointment went well and she is now doing well. I will post pics soon. If I'm a friend on your facebook, I've posted pictures for friends and family there.
Thanks once again for all of the prayers and concerns. We are all doing well!

Quick update again
Sorry for the quick updates, but life has been fairly crazy in our household for the last few weeks. The baby is well on it's way to making its grand appearance, so much so that Jay is coming home this Tuesday instead of on the 17th. I went to the doctor yesterday and I'm at a 3 which doesn't concern us however I'm 80% effaced and the baby is so low the doctor told me that it's ready. He couldn't even measure the head on the ultrasound because this baby was so low. He told me to go home pack a bag and put my husband and anyone else on high alert. So that's what I did, the result. Jay coming home on Tuesday before my next appointment because he doesn't think that I'll make it a few hours past that appointment if I even make it that far, me fretting about keeping this baby in until then and begging it not to come on Braiden's birthday next Thursday, and Jay telling me I'm not allowed to do anything. Do you know how hard that is when your nesting! UGH!! As most of you know this baby will be about a month early if it comes within the week, however the lungs look good and the doctor will not stop me if I end up going into labor. Mostly because he said it wouldn't do any good. So there you have it in a nut shell this baby is coming and we are not ready!!! I'll update as much as I can. Stay tuned!

Quick update
Okay so this is going to be a really quick post, but I thought I'd update. Jay is in Denver again until the 17th of February. I'm being induced on the 18th of February, if this baby lasts that long there is a great debate about this. I'm being induced 2 weeks early because of this issue with Jay in Denver and because of my placenta. The kids are struggling with Jay being gone but we usually deal with the same problems for about a week after he leaves and then they become semi-normal again. I'm doing fairly well. I've learned to adjust my schedule around my blood clots and have currently gotten no more this month. YEAH!!! Anyway, that's my quick update. Have a good day everyone!!

Christmas
Christmas this year was soo fun. We got to spend a little bit of time with everyone since this is the last approved time I got to travel from the doctor. We spent this Christmas at my mom's house where there were quite a lot of us. There were 12 of us this year, we were only missing Amanda and her family. The kids had a blast and it was great.

Opening there stockings before the madddd rush of opening gifts.

Kris and Kaylanee opening their presents

The kids with my brother and sister Dallas and Tayler, coloring and playing memory

Ashlynn hates clothes so as soon as she got a set she stripped the pj's and went for pants only.
As you can see we had a great weekend and it was great to have Jay home before he leaves for Denver again this next week.
We also had a doctors appointment and things are going well. I still have the blood clots the reason I can't travel until after I have the baby. However, they moved my due date up to the 25th of February and I have an induction date of the 18th because Jay will still be in Denver and we needed to get a date that he could come home. So he will be driving home on the 17th, and on the 18th the baby will be here, if not earlier. We really want the 18th though because I don't want to have this baby while Jay is trying to get here. So we will see, my babies tend to be stubborn and impatient so we will see.
Happy New Year to everyone we hope it goes well for you all.
