Family News Letter

So I know it has been forever since I have blogged, but I wanted to at least get our family new letter written before the end of the year.

2010 has started and ended with a bang. We started the year with Braiden and Ashlynn having RSV, and me bronchiocolitis. It took us a good month to get through these sicknesses, and they were not fun.
Ashlynn is growing fast and hit her 2nd birthday this year. She loves to ride her tricycle, play with dolls, do things with her older brother and sister, and has the funniest personality. She has definately hit the terrible 2's and we are dealing with tantrums at the moment. She hates time out but knows that's where she goes. In July we made our first visit to the emergency room with Ashlynn being the one to go. She fell off the couch and hit her head. She was knocked unconscious and stopped breathing. Everything turned out to be fine they did a CT scan and everything turned out to be good. It was my first ever trip to the emergency room and as much as I want to say the last with the kids being as accident prone as there mother I have a feeling it will be the first of many. Ashlynn is very excited for the baby, she likes to look at my stomach then says kiss the baby, she lifts up my shirt over my belly and gives it a kiss and hug. It really is cute, however; we are a little worried for when the baby gets here. I guess we'll have to see what happens.
Braiden is 4 this year, he loves preschool and he is still in speech but is making progress. He is a true blue boy who loves anything that has to do with cars and superheros. He loved the Disneyworld trip we took and can't wait to go back, he thinks we should've gone back already. He was diagnosed with Asthma this year and they stuck him on daily medication for it, but he seems to be doing much better.
Kaylanee is growing so fast. She turns 7 in a week and she has changed so much this year. She's starting to act more grown up and is such a big help. She is doing great in 1st grade and still loves school. She loves to draw, ride her bike, and play with her little sister. She is extremely excited for the baby to get here and is desperately hoping for a little brother. We will see if she gets what she wants.
In April I got to go see my sister Krista in Boise for a weekend and I must say was one of the highlights of my year. I don't get out much without the kids and it was greatly needed. Not long after this I found out I was pregnant, we lost the baby and not long after that found out we were expecting again. We are due in roughly 8 weeks and excited for our new addition in February 2011. This pregnancy has been a rough one, but we are making it through, the baby is doing well and has grown a lot over the past few months. We went to Florida with the Hobbs family in August and had an absolute blast. We are planning another trip to Florida in 5-6 years.
Jay has had a very eventful year. He floated around from job to job for the first part of the year, but in July he was shipped out to Denver, CO. He was there for 4 1/2 months. He came home right before Thanksgiving and will be leaving for Denver again the first week of January. He will be home hopefully a few days before the baby comes and will have to go back to Denver until October. We are extremely blessed that he still has a job, his company has done a fair amount of lay-offs this year and Jay has made it through.
Looking back on this year we have much to be grateful for. We have been very blessed, and have had our fair share of trials, however; we know that the Lord loves us and has blessed our family with many things.
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We will miss seeing several family members this year, and hope to see them soon. We love and miss you all. May 2011 bring great blessings and happy memories for all.

Love,

The Pierce Family
