I can't say that I'm sad to see 2009 behind us, it's been a rough year for us and for many of our family and friends. Every year I do a short newsletter on my blog. So here it is.
This year started out with RSV and phneumonia for Ashlynn it was a hard winter, but we made it through. In March we took a trip to St. George for my sisters son's blessing. Jay started working major hours at the beginning of summer and went through 6 groups of layoffs this year. He was transferred out of state at the beginning of October and now has been home for a few weeks. With promises that he will not be home for long.
Kaylanee is doing well in Kindergarten and loves it. She loves to read and is starting to be very good. She has missed kindergarten so much that both of us can't wait for her to go back. She turned 6 at the end of this year and mom is having a hard time having a child that old. She loves anything girlie, and is just that a girlie girl.
Braiden is all boy. He is in preschool this year and speech therapy. He is excelling in both. Braiden is way beyond shy and it took him 2 months to even talk to anyone in class. He has started to come out of his shell quite a bit in the last few months, and I'm proud to say that he is growing up fast. Him and Kaylanee are the same weight and pretty close to the same height even though there is a two year deficeit between the two. He is excited for his birthday in February because Kaylanee just had hers.
Ashlynn is my prankster. Yes already. She is at 18 lbs. 15 oz. as of last week and at 4% her weight. Still my little one. She is rambunctious and full of energy. Many times I wish she would share the energy with her mom. She is running with her brother and sister and now is sporting 9 teeth. She is growing fast and in 3 months I can take her to nursery. We are excited because she is always all over the place at church.
I'm doing well. I have adventured into the canning world by myself for the first time this last year. I ended up canning peaches, for my first one. They turned out well and I'm excited to see what next year holds for my canning. I made a few levi quilts this last year for friends and family and I went back to work the last part of the year.
All in all life has been busy and hectic. Most of the year we didn't know if Jay would come home with a job or not, which has added a lot of stress. However, we came through 2009 fairly unscathed. We love you all and hope your 2010 brings many blessings.
Love,
The Pierce's
